the ultimate blush guide
Say hello to the only 7 blushes you'll ever need.
I admit it.
I'm absolutely, unequivocally, unapologetically in love with blush. So much so that I've almost entirely eliminated bronzer and contour from my routine, and instead, burn through blushes like it's nothing, hitting pan more frequently than I'd like to admit.
Of all the blushes I've tried, there are a few that have stood the test of time, and in my opinion, are the only products you'll ever need for that flawless flush of color.
the everyday, ride or die
When in doubt, and no matter the makeup look I'm creating, I without fail reach for my Moonshot Air Blusher. Perfectly buildable, impossibly soft, and undeniably natural, this powerhouse comes in 3 stunning shades — Soft Peony and Breeze Fig being my favorites.
the full flush
For bold pigment with just a tiny bit of product, look no further than the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush. With one or two tiny dots at the high-points of your cheeks, this weightless formula blends into a soft, powdery finish, giving a flush of color that lasts all day long. Blend quickly, however, as once it begins to dry, it stays put.
the shimmer and shine
For blush with a bit of added glimmer in the formula, I always turn to my NARS Liquid Blush in the cheeky shade Orgasm. Seamlessly blending into skin, a little goes a long way with this warm pink hue, and perfectly complements those sunkissed, golden looks.
Go for that monochromatic vibe with one of my favorite lip and cheek blushers (which I shamelessly use on my eyelids, as well) — Honest Beauty's Creme Cheek + Lip Color. Brimming with a cocktail of berry extracts, it gives that gorgeously nourished, angelic radiance.
the oh so subtle glow
If lightweight and barely-there is your thing, look no further than the Sheer Blush by Iconic London. Dewy, airy, and made for those natural looks, this product blends easily and quickly into a flirty whisper.
the off-duty model moment
The ever-stunning, fellow blush-loving model and entrepreneur, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, recently launched her own range of products under her brand, Rose Inc. Needless to say, I immediately added the Blush Divine Radiant Lip & Cheek Color to my cart. Creamy and doubling as skincare, the formula is filled with vitamin E and squalane, adding beautiful hydration and color to your complexion and to your pout. What's more? It's housed in a stunningly chic refillable compact.
the lovely luxe
For a bit of daily luxury with serious pigment payout, I highly recommend picking up Chanel's Joues Contraste Powder Blush. My favorite shade is Rosewood — which I first discovered after scouring through Margot Robbie's red carpet looks, so expertly painted by her longtime makeup artist, Pati Dubroff. It has been a total staple in my makeup kit ever since.
