Honestly obsessed with Honest Beauty

As a longtime lover and user of The Honest Co., when they announced that Honest Beauty would be launching in the Fall of 2015, I nearly cried tears of joy (this is not an exaggeration). I immediately subscribed to receive an email as soon as the line dropped (I think over 10 times out of fear that I would somehow overlook the email), and made my first order the day the range dropped. The Honest Co. tapped into something inside of me that made me believe and made me trust them entirely, and without even seeing what the beauty line had to offer, I already knew I would fall in love with the products.
And I did.

Here is a haul of my absolute Honest Beauty faves, and a review on what the products feel like.

If you haven't the slightest clue what Honest is, it is Jessica Alba's cruelty-free, high-quality company that provides a transparent and safe experience for it's users. Their products range from diapers to natural deodorants (a personal fave) to, as of late, makeup and skincare.

Ordering with Honest Beauty online is an incredibly interactive and beautiful way to shop. Though they now sell at Ulta, when I first ordered their products, I had no way of swatching or seeing what the products might look like on my skin (a problem that so many of us have). Fear not - on their app, you can actually take a photo of yourself and "try on" any product you'd like! And if you don't have the app, you can always match your skintone to one of the eight women featured on their site. Easy as that.

+ Refreshingly Clean Powder Cleanser & Glass Jar
This. Cleanser. Is. EVERYTHING. These little packets are one-per-wash (and perfect for travel). You pour them in your palm, dab your wet fingers in the white powder, and start exfoliating. What I like about this cleanser is that it isn't too harsh on your skin - it turns from a not-so-rough powder into a creamy, milky lather quickly, leaving your skin super soft. A total must. And how cute is that glass jar?!

+ Refreshingly Clean Gel Cleanser
This product is my go-to everyday cleanser. With chamomile and calendula, this is perfect for anyone with sensitive or irritated skin. It cleanses without drying, leaving your face feeling fresh and youthful.

+ Elevated Hydration Mist

I go through this mist so quickly it's not even funny. One spritz is simply not enough. I use this to set my makeup, wake me up throughout the day, calm myself when traveling - you name it. The aloe cools your skin, and the chamomile calms. Just divine.

+ Younger Face Deep Hydration Cream
This moisturizer (the thicker of the two I have tried) is absolutely perfect as a heavier night cream, or a cream when your skin needs a little extra loving and hydration. The radish root and baobab fruit give off those earthy-goddess vibes that last all day - I swear, whenever I go in for a kiss on the cheek, I always get compliments on the smell.

+ Even Brighter Everyday Moisturizer
This moisturizer is the lighter of the two, and definitely perfect for all skin types. Acerola cherry, barbary fig, and green tea work to tone and further balance the skin, making this a moisturizer that helps clear those pesky dark spots.

+ The Depuffed Eye Gel
This eye gel is so soothing and refreshing. The little metal applicator chills the undereye area, working in unison with the rosemary to tone down puffy eyes.

+ Magic Balm
If you buy anything Honest Beauty, this is the one thing you absolutely need. The name says it all - it's magic. This thing is totally with me at all times, and can be used for just about anything. I like to use it as a lip balm, and naturally highlight my cheekbones with it. And if I'm feeling ultra glam (which occurs quite often), I find that it acts as the perfect primer for a powder highlighter at the highs of your cheeks, below the brow, at the inner corners of your eyes, your cupid's bow, and even the tip of your nose and chin if you're in the mood to seriously glow.

+ Eyeshadow Trio in Ocean Blue
This season, I am so in love with deep blues and turquoises. Though I normally wouldn't try an ocean-inspired eye, I had to have this highly-pigmented trio. My fave way to rock the blue look is by creating an ombré affect on the lower lashline. Start with the darkest shade on the outer corners, and work your way to that shimmering silver at the inner corners. I love that this look can be as subtle or bold as you'd like - don't be afraid to build!

+ Everything Cream Foundation in Snow and Sand
This cream foundation has the mysterious ability to be extremely natural and have medium/full coverage at the same time. The trick with this foundation is finding the application that works best for you. I normally use Sephora's #45 brush to buff the product into my skin, but also find that a damp beauty blender gives that gorgeous dewy canvas I love during Spring and Summer. The shade Snow (the fairest shade in the range) is my perfect match, but I like to lightly contour with Sand, or use the shade as my "tan" foundation.

+ Luminizing Powder in Dusk Reflection
I was a bit nervous ordering this bronzer... Because I have such light skin, bronzers can easily look "muddy" on me or incredibly unnatural if there is too much shimmer. Luckily, this bronzer is very buildable and has just a touch of sparkle. Though it can look a bit too warm/orange when my skin is at its fairest, it is just STUNNING when I have a tan.

+ Everything Primer
This primer has been getting major love in the beauty world (it made it onto Allure's 2015 Best of Beauty list). It has a more illuminating finish than a matte one, and a gorgeous golden hue to it without adding color to the face. Use it on it's own for a natural, glowing finish, or pair it with your fave foundation for a sun-kissed look.

+ Crème Blush in Truly Daring
I know, I know... Why would I choose literally the darkest blush they've got if I use their lightest foundation... Well, one answer is that the shade was simply too beautiful to pass up. Another answer is that I don't just use it on my cheeks... A little goes a long way with this stuff, so if I am going in on my cheeks, I use just a touch with a stippled brush. Otherwise, I love using this product as a lip stain. Dab a bit on your lips with your fingers for a lighter application, or go in with a lip brush for a more dramatic look. Added bonus - the raspberry, grape, and blackberry extracts make your look even more delicious.

I can't wait to try the new Truly Kissable Lip Crayon in Marsala Kiss in my next HB bundle.
Which Honest Beauty products would you try?

I totally agree! Cruelty-free and safe are going to be the new standard in beauty before we know it - so exciting that we get to witness that transition.
